Ask the Pharmacist

What is the percentage of Omega-3 contained in VitaDHA and Omegor Kids.

Dear Guendalina,

the product VitaDHA is a supplement in liquid form made from deodorized fish oil and flavored with lemon.

Contains 1250 mg of DHA and 360 mg of EPA in 6.5 ml single-dose sachets of oil. The recommended dose is 1 sachet per day, taken singly or diluted in cold foods:

  • yogurt, citrus or strawberry;
  • spreadable cheeses.
To avoid any possible aftertaste, it is best to store the product in the freezer.

Omegor Kids is always a liquid formulation in single-dose sachets. It contains 200mg of DHA from algal oil useful for promoting physical, intellectual and behavioral growth in children. The algal oil used is purified and produced with the highest safety standards in fermenters. Other main ingredients:

  • Vitamin D3, important for calcium and phosphate fixation in bones and tooth enamel;
  • Vitamin C, an antioxidant useful for boosting the immune system.
 The formulation is then made especially pleasant by the presence of honey, a natural source of energy.

The dosage is 1 sachet per day, to be taken singly or in addition to yogurt, white or fruit. No need to take on a full stomach: this makes the product very convenient because it can be taken anywhere and at any time of the day. I hope I have answered you fully but I still remain available for further clarification.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist.
