Ask the Pharmacist

I have high cholesterol and triglyceride values: can I conjugate Meaquor with Cardiol?

Dear John,

Cardiol is a supplement rich in active ingredients and vitamins that can promote the full health of the cardiovascular system.

In fact, Omega-3s help to:

  • Reduce blood triglycerides;
  • Promote the elevation of "good" HDL cholesterol;
  • Stabilize heart rate and rhythm.

Fermented red rice, bioflavonoids, policosanols, tocotrienols, and vitamin B3 work synergistically to effectively promote the reduction of "bad" LDL cholesterol. Cardiol also helps reduce, thanks to folic acid and vitamin B12, levels of plasma homocysteine, a metabolite with injurious action on the vascular endothelium. The recommended dose is 1 pearl per day, taken just before dinner.

The combination with 1 pearl of Meaquor you suggested is certainly desirable to achieve a more effective action on blood triglyceride levels. Meaquor in fact is an extremely rich Omega-3 product with 900 milligrams of EPA and DHA per pearl. I recommend that you always inform your treating physician of your choice to begin dietary supplementation as well as any dietary and nondietary accommodations you intend to make. In summary, I recommend that you:

  • Take 1 bead of Meaquor before a main meal;
  • Take 1 bead of Cardiol in the evening before dinner (administration of the 2 products can also be done in a single administration in the evening).

I invite you to repeat the analysis after 2 months of supplementation in order to check the trend of blood parameters and the effectiveness of the treatment. I remain available for further information.

Sincerely.
