Thrombosis and omega-3, which supplement?

Dear Doctor. I would like to know whether Omega 3 TGs have contraindications and whether they can also be taken by those on medication with Antiplatelets (Plavix) and beta-blockers. Thank you.

following or at risk of thrombosis, and in case of therapy with antithrombotic and/or antiplatelet drugs, dietary supplementation with Omega-3 EPA and DHA is not recommended, because these fatty acids over time may play a blood-thinning role. 

I therefore recommend that you seek the advice of your primary care physician before starting omega-3 supplementation.
