Ask the Pharmacist

I notice a different color to the Omegor Twinefa beads, what is it due to?

I noticed a color change to the Twinefa beads: straw yellow instead of the classic amber yellow.

Has there been any change to the formulation? I have purchased numerous packages of this product over the course of about a year and a half, and the last one just last September (lot 9_ o339).

The twinefa beads always presented as amber yellow in color. Now, in the last package purchased (lot 11_o2329), the oil presented as straw yellow, the same color as the Vitality beads.

It is natural to be puzzled by this change. I therefore ask you for a comprehensive response. I thank you in advance.

Dear Alessandra,

I realize that, for those who habitually consume a product, a change in coloring may generate some puzzlement.

Let me reassure you right away: in products with ingredients of natural origin, it is possible for color variations to occur from batch to batch. In the specific case of the batch you mentioned (9-0339), the color variation can be attributed to the food-grade gelatin used for the pearl wrapper. The oily content is straw yellow in color and does not greatly affect the final color of the pearl. This is only an "aesthetic" variation, which does not affect the wholesomeness of the formulation but certainly stands out to the discerning eye.

I cordially greet you and remain at your disposal for any clarifications.
