Is it advisable to use Cardiol in patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes?
Is it advisable to use Cardiol in patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes?
Dear Mr. Grassia,
Cardiol is a supplement formulated to ensure the overall health of the cardiovascular system by acting on multiple fronts.
It can also be used in cases of non-insulin-dependent type II diabetes. I recommend this product in case you want a marked cholesterol-lowering action combined with a good ability to normalize the values of other blood lipids. In fact, the omega-3s present help to:
- Reduce blood triglycerides;
- Promote a rise in "good" HDL cholesterol;
- Stabilize heart rate and rhythm.
Fermented red rice, bioflavonoids, polycosanols, tocotrienols and vitamin B3 work synergistically, effectively promoting LDL cholesterol reduction. Folic acid and vitamin B12 also allow the reduction of plasma homocysteine levels, a metabolite with injurious action on the vascular endothelium. The provision of the antioxidants resveratrol, CoQ10, sesamin and piperine helps to counter oxidative stress, a major cause of cellular deterioration. The recommended dose for Cardiol is one pearl per day to be taken preferably before dinner. Another product I can recommend is Eulipid, a supplement containing berberine, bioflavonoids and policosanols along with resveratrol, tocotrienols and CoQ10. Eulipid is useful for rebalancing:
- Blood levels of total cholesterol,
- LDL cholesterol blood levels
- triglycerides
Several scientific studies show that Berberine, the main component of the formulation, exerts a hypolipidemic action, as well as a hypoglycemic effect similar to that of metformin. The combination of Berberine and Citrus bioflavonoids, also found in Eulipid, reducespostprandial hyperglycemia in overweight subjects. Also for Eulipid the dose is 1 tablet daily preferably before dinner. My advice is to start with Cardiol, following the indicated dosage. After 8 weeks you can repeat the analysis and if the result is still not what you want, let's see if you should combine Eulipid. I hope I have been of some help to you. I recommend that you inform your treating physician about the choice of taking a supplement in conjunction with other drug therapies.
Sincerely.
