Omega-3 supplementation in patient with cholesterol values below normal

Dear Sabrina,

Omega-3s are important nutrients for the proper functioning of the body. They especially influence the blood level concentration of HDL (promoting its increase) and triglycerides, effectively contributing to their decrease. They are not particularly effective against total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. Low cholesterol values are quite unusual in cases such as the one you describe, so you will certainly need to investigate this further. Several studies have shown that the intake of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), combined with a low-calorie diet and moderate but constant physical activity, can help in the loss of excess fat, allowing greater weight loss and optimizing the effects of the diet.

Omega-3s are in fact able to increase basal fat oxidation (through which fat is used to produce energy) and at the same time counteract lipogenesis (the process by which fat is stored as a reserve in the body). The most suitable product in this case is Omegor Vitality, which is available in 500- and 1000-milligram formats.

Dosage is 1-3 pearls per day of Vitality 1000 milligrams (i.e., 2-6 500-mg pearls), to be taken preferably before the main meal to better promote absorption and avoid any possible"backlash effect." The minimum treatment period is 8 weeks, which is the time needed for the omega-3 fatty acids to integrate into the membranes of cells.

Sincerely.
