Ask the Pharmacist

Infants and omega-3, which supplement?

Dear Dr. Ramondino, I would like to know which omega-3 supplement is the specific one for infants.. thanks

Dear Madam,

the product in our line of supplements designed for infants and indicated from 0 to 2 years of age is the new VitaDHA Baby drops. VitaDHA Baby drops is a dietary supplement based on algal oil high in DHA enriched with Vitamins D3 and E. The recommended dose for infants is 1 ml daily -- to be divided into two administrations of 0.5 ml each, using the graduated dropper. These are the benefits that the newborn could gain from supplementing with VitaDHA Baby:

  • visual skills
  • bone development
  • immune system

In fact, 1 ml of VitaDHA Baby drops provides 100 mg of DHA, which is the recommended dosage to contribute to the normal development of the visual abilities of infants and young children up to the age of 12 months. In addition, there is also vitamin D in VitaDHA Baby drops-which is necessary for the normal growth and development of children's bones and for the regular functioning of the immune system

The formulation has a delicate milk and cream flavor so that it is liked by even the smallest infants. I remain available for further information.

Sincerely,

Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
