Attention disorders: which supplement for my child?

I have a 10-year-old daughter in 4th grade who does not have an accurate and varied diet and does not eat fish at all. The child has had in the last year a very rapid development is important that has involved repeated episodes of illness and also anemia that we are resolving with sideral. The child shows difficulties though not severe in learning consisting of fatigue and difficulty in attention and concentration with a fluctuating short term memory. I have read about the benefits of omega three in such cases. What products and dosage do you recommend? Thank you very much for your interest. Best regards

Dear Nunzia,

usually children with attention disorders show improvement after consumption of omega-3 DHA as confirmed by recent scientific literature.

Studies, moreover, have shown that children with problems related to declining attention and learning abilities often have low concentrations of DHA in their blood. DHA, in fact, plays a key role in the development of the brain, the visual system, and the maintenance of their function, being the main component of the cell membranes of neurons to which it gives the fluidity needed to grow, connect with other cells, and transmit nerve signals.

A deficiency of DHA in the diet can induce reduced brain levels of dopamine, a neurotransmitter involved in the mechanisms of attention and memory, which can manifest as a decline in learning abilities. The product she can use is Omegor Mind, a dietary supplement that combines DHA with a clinically tested extract of bacopa monnieri, a plant with tonic properties.

The recommended dose is 2 capsules to be taken with a main meal. I remind you not to consider dietary supplements as therapy, but only as nutritional support.
