Baby atopic dermatitis, what to do?

Good morning, I would like to purchase Omegor Kids for my 3-year-old son who has atopic dermatitis. I would like to know if it is the right product, I have tried many now. Thank you and best regards.

Dear Madam,

the most useful supplements for her 3-year-old who suffers from atopic dermatitis may be two:

  • Omegor Kids, all-around useful to support the growth and development of children especially in preschool and school age: it provides omega-3 (200 mg DHA), vitamin C and D that support the development of children's nervous and immune systems.
  •  Omegor TwinEFA, a supplement of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that may have anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating actions.

For atopic dermatitis, Omegor TwinEFA may be more helpful.

The combination of omega-3 and omega-6 might actually mediate an anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory action-so for your child's atopic dermatitis, taking Omegor TwinEFA might be more indicated.

Omegor TwinEFA is available in capsules, but the fish oil in the capsule has a pleasant taste, is deodorized and orange-flavored, and can also be ingested as is by children by puncturing the capsule and squeezing the oil into a teaspoon or shot glass or by having the child chew the capsule and discard the soft gelatin wrapper. The dosage I recommend is one capsule per day, to be taken by your child preferably in conjunction with a main meal-breakfast, lunch, or dinner-to facilitate absorption of the fatty acids. I recommend that you inform your pediatrician of your choice to have your child take an omega-3 and omega-6 supplement, so as to initiate its intake in accordance with his or her advice and to monitor the course of the atopic dermatitis. I hope I have been helpful and remain at your disposal for any further questions or clarifications.

Sincerely,
