Ask the Pharmacist

Is it possible to take Omega-3 together with blood pressure tablets?

My wife takes blood pressure tablets: can she supplement with Omega-3 pearls? Possibly how many per day?

Dear Roberto,

I can tell you that habitual consumption of Omega-3 EPA and DHA promotes a moderate reduction in blood pressure both through an increase in vessel compliance and to a slight increase in peripheral vasodilation, which promotes better oxygenation of all tissues.

The recommended daily dose of Omega-3 EPA and DHA is 1 gram per day, corresponding to 2 pearls of 1410 mg of Omegor Vitality. Omegor Antiage is another product indicated for his wife: a formulation very rich in active ingredients with adjuvant effects for skin trophism, microcirculation and favoring the resolution of inflammatory phenomena. The main nutrients are the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA (450 milligrams per capsule) and omega-6 fatty acid GLA (30 milligrams per capsule) from borage oil: this combination is useful for ensuring proper skin trophism, performing an effective anti-inflammatory action, and balancing mood.

The formulation of Omegor Antiage includes important nutrients with strong antioxidant activity: resveratrol, curumin, tocotrienols and coenzyme Q10. These nutrients are able to counteract the formation of free radicals and prevent inflammatory and oxidative processes that cause loss of tone and elasticity as well asskin aging

The recommended dose is 1 pearl per day to be taken before a main meal. Up to 2 pearls of Omegor Vitality can be combined to increase the daily intake of Omega-3.
