Cholesterol, what is the difference between Meaquor and Vitality?

I would like to buy one of your products but I don't understand the difference between Meaquor 1000 and omegor Vitality 1000, I only understood that there is a price difference. I have a problem with high triglycerides and cholesterol just above the limit. Alexander

Dear Alexander,

if you want to act on cholesterol, perhaps the best products are Eulipid or Cardiol, two supplements in our line specifically formulated to promote cholesterol control. But first, I would like to clarify the difference between the two products Meaquor and Omegor Vitality 1000. Meaquor 1000 is among our products the one with the highest concentration of fatty acidssi Omega-3 DHA and EPA. It is a supplement that may be advisable in cases of hypertriglyceridemia, in fact:

  • 2 g per day of EPA and DHA can help maintain normal blood triglyceride levels;
  • this dosage can be achieved with 2 to 3 capsules per day of Meaquor 1000 taken at a main meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner).

Omegor Vitality 1000 (30 and 45 cps packs), on the other hand, is a dietary supplement of concentrated fish oil, which provides 630 mg of EPA+DHA per capsule. Omegor Vitality is recommended in these cases:

  • as a nutritional supplement because you do not routinely consume fish in your diet (1 to 3 cps per day are recommended);
  • To promote normal heart function (1 cps/day);
  • If you follow the zone diet (3 cps/day);
  • to promote the reduction ofinflammation (2-3 cps/day), which can sometimes also manifest itself through "unsuspected" complaints such as headaches, malaise, dry skin, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression...

Both Meaquor 1000 and Vitality 1000 are IFOS 5-star certified for purity, absence of contaminants, omega-3 concentration, freshness and stability. Both are excellent products. However, although dietary supplementation with omega-3 EPA and DHA has a direct effect on triglyceride values, it has no specific action on total cholesterol and LDL values.

So while supplementing, she may not register a cholesterol-lowering effect. But if, on the other hand, your goal is to act on cholesterol control, then I recommend that you check with your primary care physician about the possibility of using a dietary supplement such as Cardiol or Eulipid, which have formulations targeted to act on borderline and high cholesterol by promoting control of blood levels.
