Radioactivity: products are tested

Kindest,

thank you for contacting us and for your report, which we take positively as a cue to add some more information on our site about the quality of our products. The fish oil we use in our products is produced in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) plants that apply strict quality systems according to pharmaceutical standards and ensure the absence of any form of ionizing radiation.

Radioactivity parameters are continuously monitored in the starting raw material, raw fish oil, even before it enters the process of multiple molecular distillation the technological process that allows the removal of contaminants that may be normally present in fish such as PCBs, dioxins and furans, and heavy metals. In Europe, limits for radioactivity in food and food supplements are set by EU Regulation 733 of 2008, which requires cumulative radioactivity of cesium-134 and cesium-137 to be less than 600 Becquerels/kg.

Since the Fukushima accident, all raw fish oils from the raw materials we use are tested for the possible content of Cesium-134, Cesium-137 and Iodine-131.

Tutti i risultati registrati sono stati sempre al di sotto del limite analitico di rilevazione quindi < 3 Becquerel/kg.
