Is Omegor Antiage indicated during menopause?
Dear Madam,
the product Omegor Antiage can be very useful in counteracting signs and symptoms of menopause in fact the association of antioxidants, omega-3 and gamma-linolenic acid GLA from borage oil contributes to the slowing of skin aging (loss of elasticity, dryness, etc.), promotes good mood and helps reduce hot flashes. An Italian clinical study (Campagnoli et al., 2005) conducted in double-blind versus placebo for 24 weeks showed a significant reduction in hot flashes following supplementation with fish oil and borage oil.
According to the researchers, this result is due to the stabilizing effect of polyunsaturated fatty acids on the membranes of nervous system cells, in fact omega-3 fatty acids EPA, DHA and GLA influence the serotonergic system that regulates the hypothalamic centers of thermoregulation allowing a reduction in hot flashes. In addition, the omega-3 and GLA combination promotes the reduction of levels of inflammatory prostaglandins (e.g., PGE2), hormones responsible for bone resorption and implicated in mood imbalance as well as the onset of skin disorders such as dryness, eczema, psoriasis, etc.
The omega-3 EPA and DHA are then also very important for maintaining normal heart function (250 mg/day), parameters that should not be underestimated especially as women enter menopause. The recommended dose for Omegor Antiage is one pearl per day to be taken before a meal. Supplementation with this product does not give any problems or side effects for prolonged supplementation, but if you would prefer to follow periods of pause, I recommend that each intake cycle lasts at least 2-3 months so that the active ingredients can carry out their action and that you take breaks of a maximum of one month. If you then wish to increase your daily intake of omega-3s, you can combine Omegor Antiage with up to 2 pearls of Omegor Vitality 1000, a simpler, highly concentrated formulation of just the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. I hope I have been helpful and invite you to contact us again for any further information.
Sincerely.
