Hypertension in menopause: which supplement?

I am 58 years old and for the past year I have been taking pills against hypertension, manifested at the beginning of menopause, also present familial factors. Which product might be indicated to my case?

Dear Madam,

for hypertension could find potential benefit in the habitual consumption of omega-3 EPA and DHA. Indeed, EPA and DHA fatty acids could progressively act a positive effect on blood pressure-through an increase in vessel compliance and a slight increase in peripheral vasodilation.

The European Commission indicates that to achieve this effect, that is, to help maintain normal blood pressure values, a dosage of 3 g of omega-3 EPA and DHA per day is necessary: corresponding to 4-5 capsules of Omegor Vitality 1000 and 3-4 capsules of Meaquor 1000. Since you are already on drug therapy for hypertension, it is a good idea to take the omega-3 EPA and DHA fatty acids at dosages of 2-3 grams per day in accordance with your doctor's advice, also because after 1-2 months of supplementation you may need to readjust the dosage of the antihypertensive drug.

Based on what has just been said, my advice for your hypertension is therefore this:

  • to consider in consultation with his or her treating physician taking a supplement such as Omegor Vitality or Meaquor 1000 at a dosage of 3 capsules per day;
  • so as to contribute to a rebalancing of blood pressure;
  • Trying to gradually reduce the dose of antihypertensive.

Sincerely,
