Bipolar disorder: what is the ideal omega-3 dosage

Good evening; I suffer from bipolar disorder;I have been advised to take omega 3, which would be helpful in my case of bipolar disorder depression. The question I am asking is what dosage should I take for reference to get results and without exceeding the conservative doses. I thank you for your attention. Regards

Kindest,

omega-3 fatty acids can be adjuvant in the treatment of depressive disorders, and in this case the recommended dosage is about 1 gram of EPA and DHA per day, which corresponds to at least 2 pearls of Omegor Vitality 1000(30 or 45 capsule packs). If you are currently on drug therapy, I recommend that you inform your treating physician. In fact, your doctor should always be informed of any dietary supplementation that you are going to start especially if it is combined with therapy.

You can take the pearls in one administration or at two different times before a meal (breakfast, lunch, or dinner). The supplementation period is at least 2-3 months. I give you here a link to our blog in which we report the results of some studies conducted to test the effectiveness of omega-3 fatty acid supplementation in bipolar disorder.

I remain available for further information.

Sincerely, Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist.
