Omega-3 packaging in blister packs: Why?

Why are your capsules packaged in blister packs, drug style? Could they also be marketed in a jar version with a cap? As in my view, more convenient solution for taking supplements in general. You will have your reasons for selling them in blister packs. If so, what are they?

Dear Simone,

The decision to dispense omega-3 capsules in blister packs is dictated by the desire to best preserve individual product units, preserving their quality and freshness. Each capsule is individually packaged in blisters made of aluminum and PVDC, materials that are among the most expensive but the best against exposure to air and moisture.

In multi-ridose bottles, upon opening the jar, all product units come into contact with the external environment, thus gas, moisture..etc. Blister packs, on the other hand, allow the capsules to be protected individually, which, in this case, would only come into contact with the external environment for a few moments before being ingested.

Capsules dispensed in blister packs do not stick together as they do when packaged in jars. In addition, the last omega-3 fatty acid capsule in the multi-ridose bottle will definitely be more oxidized than the first, this is because it has come in contact with the external environment repeatedly during the opening of the bottle for daily intake of the product. Our products are the best in quality, which also depends on the way the capsules are packaged and thus stored, as explained above.

Sincerely,

Beatrice Iozzino, pharmacist.
