Ask the Pharmacist

Is the fish oil in Omegor Kids IFOS certified?

I would like to kindly receive some information about Omegor Vitality and your Omega-3 supplements for children, thank you.

Omegor Kids is a supplement in liquid form useful for promoting physical, intellectual and behavioral growth in children.

It contains 200 milligrams of DHA from algal oil, a purer source of omega-3 fatty acids thanfish oil. The one we use is highly purified and produced to the highest safety standards-so you can rest assured. In contrast, the IFOS(International Fish Oil Standards) certification covers only fish oils. Other ingredients include:

  • Vitamin D3, important for calcium and phosphate fixation in bones and tooth enamel;
  • Vitamin C, an antioxidant useful for boosting the immune system.

The formulation is particularly pleasant due to the presence of honey. The dosage is 1 sachet per day, to be taken singly or in addition to yogurt, white, citrus or strawberry.Supplementation with DHA helps promote proper psychophysical development of the child by building up the membranes of the central nervous system. As an alternative to Omegor Kids, you can have your child take 1 pearl a day of Omegor Vitality 1000, a supplement of Omega-3 fatty acids EPA (420 mg/cps) and DHA (210mg/cps) available in pearls. The fish oil in Vitality, which is pure and deodorized, is IFOS certified

The pearls can be pierced: you can take the contents individually or by mixing it with yogurt or spreadable cheese. To aid intake and reduce possible fishy taste as much as possible, it is advisable to keep the supplement in the refrigerator. I hope I have answered you fully but still remain available for further clarification.
