Women in Wellness

Hormonally, women are complex creatures.

In the course of evolution, the female body is called upon to cope with three delicate temporal phases:

  • premenopause (menstruation and pregnancy)
  • menopause
  • postmenopause

To improve mental and physical well-being and safeguard health during each of these developmental stages, international medical literature recommends the use of Omega-3s.

Intake of these fatty acids has been shown to regulate a woman's hormonal system and consequently improve her overall health.

In particular:

  • in adolescence help alleviate the discomfort associated with PMS;
  • in pregnancy are effective in preventing gestational diabetes, premature birth and postpartum depression; in addition, thanks to the specific action of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), they promote better development of the fetus' central nervous system;
  • in thebreastfeeding period help support DHA values in breast milk, which are crucial for supporting optimal growth of the infant's brain;
  • during menopause are effective for cardiovascular health and helpful in reducing irritability, hot flashes, overweight, and hypertension;
  • postmenopausal play an important role in counteracting osteoporosis.
