Ask the Pharmacist

Is 1 pearl of Cardiol per day enough to balance my cholesterol levels?

Dear Valeria,

the most specific product for your case is precisely Cardiol, because it combines the beneficial effects on cardiovascular health inherent in Omega-3 fatty acids with the synergistic and specific activity on cholesterol levels typical of fermented red rice, bioflavonoids, policosanols, tocotrienols and vitamin B3.

Cardiol provides a pool of antioxidants (resveratrol, CoQ10, sesamin, and piperine) that helps counter oxidative stress, a major cause of cellular deterioration. Start with 1 pearl of Cardiol daily, taken just before dinner, and follow a healthy, balanced diet without making drastic changes or eliminating fat completely. Reduced intake of fatty foods is certainly helpful; however, to counteract the rise in cholesterol, it is also necessary to be careful of foods with a high glycemic index, which induce a release of insulin that stimulates cholesterol production by the liver.

So he should try to limit consumption of refined carbohydrates and prefer less refined ones (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), foods rich in fiber and slow-release starches that are absorbed more slowly and keep insulin levels constant. Repeat the tests after 8 weeks of Cardiol treatment to check the effectiveness of supplementation.

To increase your daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids, you can combine Cardiol with 1-2 beads of Omegor Vitality 1000, taken before a main meal. I remain available for further questions on this subject.

Sincerely.
