Omegor Ultra 1200: Omega-3 of highest concentration and purity.

They protect the heart, allow the brain to function at its maximum potential and help us see clearly, but to perform their benefits they must be taken in the right doses-doses that, depending on the case, can be quite high. That's why it's important to choose sufficiently concentrated Omega 3 supplements, such as OMEGOR® Ultra 1200, a product that offers the maximum desirable concentration and purity.

The health benefits associated with omega-3 polyunsaturated fats are far more than one: they support heart function; they help maintain parameters crucial to cardiovascular well-being in the normal range; they are allies of the brain and vision; and ever new research shines a spotlight on other possible benefits of adequate intake of them.

Depending on the benefit you want to achieve, the amount of Omega 3 you need to take daily varies accordingly. That's also why when you choose to take an Omega 3 supplement, you don't just buy the first product available: the concentration of active ingredients in it can literally make a difference both on dosage (how many capsules to take) and the effects you hope for.

In such a landscape, there are supplements that guarantee you an adequate and sustainable Omega 3 intake under all circumstances. Prominent among them is OMEGOR® Ultra 1200, which, with as much as 610 mg of EPA and 510 mg of DHA per capsule and with its IFOS 5-Star certificate, represents the highest concentration and purity you might have available to you.

OMEGOR® Ultra 1200: characteristics and composition

Packed into each capsule of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 is an exceptional concentration of bioactive Omega 3 fatty acids-that is, the ones your body actually needs.

These are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), two molecules found in Omega 3 sources of marine origin (fish, krill, microalgae and derived oils), present, as mentioned above, in very high doses (610 mg in the case of EPA and 510 mg in the case of DHA).

In total, then, one capsule of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 allows you to take in 1,120 mg of EPA + DHA. Added to these are other Omega 3s, for a total of 1,200 mg of Omega 3s per capsule.

These Omega 3s are derived from fish oil and are present within re-esterified triglycerides, the most bioavailable (and most similar to natural) form among those in which Omega 3s from concentrated fish oil can be taken.

Indeed, you should know that in natural fish oil, Omega 3 is mostly present in the form of triglycerides. However, these natural fish oils are poorly concentrated; therefore, the manufacturing process of dietary supplements involves a concentration process.

In the oils obtained at the end of the latter, however, Omega 3s have another form, that of ethyl esters. Unfortunately, this form is yes more concentrated, but at the same time less bioavailable. This means you have a harder time absorbing them and getting them to where your body needs them most.

This is why today's Omega 3 manufacturers are not always content with just concentrating Omega 3s, but are often also concerned with converting them back into their natural, more bioavailable form: that of triglycerides. At the end of the manufacturing processes, premium Omega 3 supplements such as OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 contain these Omega 3s reconverted back into triglycerides, referred to as "re-esterified triglycerides."

OMEGOR® Ultra 1200: the benefits and when to take it

EPA and DHA are two essential Omega 3s for your body. If we don't call them "essential," it is only because this adjective-"essential"-has a very specific meaning in nutrition: it indicates those nutrients that the human body cannot synthesize in any way and therefore must necessarily be taken with food or dietary supplements.

The truly essential Omega 3 is alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is also the precursor to EPA and DHA. Abundant in plant-based foods (such as nuts and flaxseeds), once absorbed ALA can be converted by your body into EPA and DHA. But there's a problem: the effectiveness with which you know how to do this is very low.

This poor ability to convert ALA to EPA and DHA (which are the Omega 3s you actually need) means that, in fact, taking preformed EPA and DHA is a better choice than taking ALA and that this expedient is even more useful when the amounts of EPA and DHA needed by your body are high.

Telling you how much these amounts correspond to are the Italian Society of Human Nutrition (SINU) and the European Food Safety Authority (Efsa):

- SINU reminds you that at any age you need 250 mg of EPA+DHA per day, to which additional doses of DHA (varying between 100 and 200 mg per day) are added at particular stages of life (such as pregnancy and lactation);

Efsa goes into more detail about the benefits of Omega 3, stating:

- 250 mg EPA + DHA per day is needed to promote good heart function;

- 250 mg of DHA per day is needed to promote good brain and vision function;

- To keep triglycerides in the normal range you need 2,000 mg (2 g) of EPA + DHA per day;

- to maintain normal blood pressure you need 3,000 mg (3 g) of EPA + DHA per day.

You can guess from these numbers that EPA plays a key role especially in cardiovascular support, while DHA is especially important in supporting your brain function and visual abilities. Together, they form an unbeatable duo for your overall well-being.

So here is when (and how much) OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 to take depending on your needs:

- Just 1 capsule a day to maintain normal heart function;

- 1 capsule a day is also enough for you to support your visual abilities and brain function;

- 2 capsules a day to maintain normal blood triglyceride levels;

- 3 capsules a day to maintain normal blood pressure.

The guarantees of IFOS certification

As for the "quality" aspect, however, you should know that the state-of-the-art purification process to which the raw material used to produce OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 is subjected allows this Omega 3 supplement to earn the prestigious 5-star IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards) certification on every batch-the assurance that you are taking in a premium-quality, highly concentrated and incredibly pure product.

IFOS is a certification program run by Nutrasource Inc. (an independent Canadian laboratory at the University of Guelph) and corresponds to the highest quality standard available worldwide today for Omega 3 supplements.

A 5-Star certification means for you to have a guarantee of:

- concentration: the amount of EPA and DHA you read on the label is exactly what is in the capsules in the package you purchased and, therefore, to the amount of EPA and DHA you ingest;

- extreme purity: there are no pollutants (such as dioxins and PCBs) and heavy metals (such as mercury) potentially dangerous to your health in OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 capsules;

- assured freshness: the fish oil in OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 is always fresh, never rancid. These means it has no unpleasant aftertaste and contains no oxidized fats that can reduce the concentration of active Omega 3 or pose safety concerns.

If you want to check IFOS certification yourself, you can search for certificates of lots currently on the IFOS Program website. You can do your search with:

- the name of the product;

- the name of the company (U.G.A. Nutraceuticals);

- the lot number of the lot you intend to purchase (or have already purchased).

But the guarantees of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 do not stop there. In fact, U.G.A. Nutraceuticals is among the first members of GOED Omega-3 (Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3), which means it meets the world's most stringent standards for Omega-3 supplements. It has also achieved ISO 9001 certification-a way of telling you that every step of the manufacturing process is monitored and controlled with obsessive care.

OMEGOR® Ultra 1200: the contraindications

Each capsule of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 is composed of dietary gelatin. Together with the fish oil in it, it gives rise to the only general contraindication of this dietary supplement: allergy to fish or other components of the product.

Otherwise, consult with your doctor in case you suffer from coagulation disorders or if you take medications or other products that might act on the coagulation and platelet aggregation process.

Omega 3s are considered safe up to a maximum daily dosage of 5 grams. Possible side effects, mostly digestive, can be avoided with quality products such as OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 and by adjusting intake according to individual response.
