Ask the Pharmacist

Which omega-3 supplement do you recommend for school-age children?

Which omega-3 supplement for children is recommended for the pre-school and school years? Thank you.

Omegor Kids omega-3 supplement is specially formulated for preschool and school-age children. It contains plant-derived omega-3 DHA from micro algal oil in orange-flavored honey syrup and with Vitamin D3 useful for bone growth and Vitamin C useful for the immune system.

The omega-3 fatty acid DHA is one of the basic constituents of central nervous system cell membranes and is important for maintaining normal brain function and visual abilities. Vitamin D is necessary for the growth and development of children's bones, while vitamin C aids energy metabolism. Vitamins C and D together support the functioning of the immune system.

The dose of Omegor Kids is one sachet per day to be taken as is or mixed with white or citrus yogurt. In this way the omega-3s will be absorbed optimally and the taste will be the pleasant taste of honey yogurt. It does not need to be taken on a full stomach, which makes Omegor Kids very convenient because it can be taken anywhere and at any time of day.
