VitaDHA Baby or Omegor Kids?

Dear Stefania,

in accordance with your pediatrician's advice, you may supplement your 16-month-old baby's diet with the product VitaDHA Baby which is indicated from 0 to 2 years of age.

The product is available in squeezable capsules of purified and deodorized fish oil by multiple molecular distillation and flavored with orange.

Each pearl contains 100 mg of DHA, the amount of DHA recommended by the European Commission for the normal development of infants' visual abilities, and 10 mcg of vitamin D3 important for bone growth and development, promoting nerve development, and improving the function of children's immune systems.

The recommended dosage is 1 squeezable capsule per day. She can squeeze the contents directly into the baby's mouth or add it to formula or yogurt and lukewarm drinks.

For your 4-year-old girl, you can instead use the product Omegor Kids specially formulated for preschool and school-age children with an algal oil rich in DHA (200 mg), orange-flavored honey syrup, Vitamin D3 (10 mcg) and Vitamin C (12 mg).

DHA is one of the basic constituents of the membranes of cells in the Nervous System and is important for the maintenance of normal brain and visual function.

Vitamin D is necessary for the growth and development of children's bones while vitamin C aids energy metabolism. Vitamins C and D together then support the functioning of the immune system.

The recommended dose is one vial per day to be taken as is, or one idea of administration is to mix the honey syrup with white or citrus yogurt. This way the Omega-3s will be absorbed optimally and the taste will be the pleasant taste of honey yogurt.

Both products are generally well accepted and tolerated by children.

I encourage you to contact us again for more information and recommend that you inform your pediatrician of your choice to supplement your daughters' diet with omega-3s.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
