Can Omegor Kids be taken before age 2?

Dear Gabriel,

as a general indication, the product Omegor Kids is recommended in children after the age of 2 years because it contains honey in its formulation. Honey is not normally taken by children under 2 years of age, and this is the reason for the 2-year minimum age limit for taking Omegor Kids.

This does not detract, however, from the fact that if you have already included honey in your child's diet, then the little one can take Omegor Kids without any problems. In this case, I recommend the dosage of one vial per day -- to be taken as is or by adding the oil to warm or cold foods and drinks. One idea is to add Omegor Kids to yogurt, fruit gruel or cheese spread. The supplement has a pleasant taste and is also liked by young children. The supplementation period could be as follows: supplementation cycles of 2-3 months, with breaks of 15 days or 1 month without taking Omegor Kids between cycles. I recommend that you inform your pediatrician of any supplementation you wish to undertake.

I remain available for further information.

Sincerely, Dr. Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and pharmaceutical chemist
