Is it risky to take Omega-3 in gestation?
I am 18 weeks pregnant and have been taking 2 tablets of Omegor Vitality 1410 mg daily for about 1 year. I have read conflicting opinions on the use of Omega-3 in pregnancy: some advise against its use others suggest it, now I don't know what to do. Do I continue with the treatment? Is the dosage correct?

Several studies indicate the importance ofOmega-3 supplementation in pregnancy.
DHA in particular has been shown to be effective for:
- mothers, preventing the reduction in reserves associated with postpartum depression;
- the child, promoting proper development of the central nervous system and retina.
For this reason, I recommend that you continue Omega-3 supplementation, but use a product specifically for pregnancy: maternal VitaDHA. Unlike Vitality, maternal VitaDHA has a higher concentration of DHA, an essential element especially during the last trimester of pregnancy and the first 6 months of breastfeeding.
