Ask the Pharmacist

Memory and concentration, which supplement improves them?

Hi, I'm 50 years old I'm in menopause and have high cholesterol, triglycerides and homocysteine. I am taking Cardiol Forte and a sachet of plant sterols, I wanted to know if I can also take Omegor Mind because I also have concentration and memory problems.

Dear Genny,

the components of the product Cardiol Forte in combination with plant sterols are helpful in controlling blood cholesterol levels and to a lesser extent normalizing triglyceride levels. Cardiol Forte features a formulation based on fish oil and plant extracts so I do not recommend that you combine Omegor Mind with it because it has a similar multicomponent formulation.

Instead, I suggest that you combine your current supplementation with Omegor Krill, this product contains the omega3 EPA and DHA in the form of phospholipids which makes them particularly assimilable at the level of the brain. In addition, Omegor Krill contains astaxanthin,a natural antioxidant that can cross the blood-brain barrier surrounding the brain so it acts directly on it.

Because of these characteristics Omegor Krill is particularly indicated in cases of mental and physical stress, poor concentration and poor memory. The dosage is 2 capsules per day to be taken preferably in the first part of the day. I remain available for further information.

Sincerely,
