Ask the Pharmacist

What supplement for my daughter's daily EPA and DHA intake?

Dear Donatella,

VitaDHA is a liquid formulation that contains 1250 mg of DHA and 360 mg of EPA.

The ratio is in favor of DHA, because supplementation at high dosages of this omega-3 fatty acid is useful in some situations. This formulation is indicated for the proper functioning of vision as well as for the nutrition of children with inflammatory conditions of various kinds and/or with neurobehavioral disorders:

  • ADHD
  • hyperactivity
  • dyslexia
  • developmental disorders
  • anxiety

Her daughter I don't think has such problems, so I had recommended the other products. She was right to stop the treatment: in fact, diarrhea is one of the side effects that can occur case of overdose. We have never received any reports regarding bad skin and hair odor. You can also supplement your daughter's diet with Omega-3 EPA and DHA: it will be enough to take the oil contained in one pearl of Omegor Vitality 1000. Omegor Kids contains only DHA. The dosage of 1 sachet is also sufficient for its vitamin C and D3 content.

I cordially greet you
