Ask the Pharmacist

Do your supplements contain halibut liver oil?

Dear Gessica, We specialize in making Omega-3 supplements, but we do not useHalibut liver oil.

Vitamin A has long been used in the treatment of skin disorders. Dietary supplementation with Omega-3 and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) is useful in acne sufferers because it helps reduce skin inflammation. Our Omegor Antiage is rich in Omega-3, GLA and antioxidants that promote skin trophism, reduce oxidative stress and contribute to the improvement of overall skin health. GLA performs important functions in our body. However, the enzyme responsible for its production begins to function less after the age of 30. A deficiency of GLA itself has been related to:

  • typical disorders of premenstrual syndrome;
  • Disorders in pre- and postmeopause periods;
  • some forms of acne.

If you cannot find the Halibut oil product indicated by your dermatologist, I suggest you talk to him about the possibility of combining vitamin A therapy with Omega-3/Omega-6 fatty acid supplements. I remain available for any information and greet you cordially. Dr. Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
