Ask the Pharmacist

What is the difference between Omegor Vitality 1000 and Omegor Vitality 1410?

I am inquiring about the product Omegor Vitality. On your site, the product is offered with 1000 milligram capsules, while on the package it says 1410 milligram capsules. What is the difference? Do both types exist on the market, or is this an error?

Dear Nicola,

I'll tell you right now that this is the same product.

1410 milligrams represents the total weight of the capsule:

  • 1000 milligrams of fish oil;
  • 410 milligrams soft gelatin shell.

The weight of each capsule must be mandatorily stated on the package. Omegor Vitality 1000 is referred to on the website because the most important indication for the consumer is the fish oil content. Same thing for Omegor Vitality 500: it contains 500 milligrams of fish oil per capsule, but it reports a total weight of 700 milligrams on the package due to the presence of the gelatin coating.

I hope I have cleared up any doubts you may have with this answer and invite you to contact us again for any further information.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
