What to do against high cholesterol?

Dear John,

products in our Cardiol and Cardiol Forte line contain different and synergistic ingredients to respond effectively to elevated cholesterol. Since we do not know the levels of LDL cholesterol that you normally find with your tests, I provide below the characteristics of the products that might be useful for you: In cases of border-line cholesterol, with values above 200 mg/dL and up to 239 mg/dL, the most suitable product is definitely Cardiol, which contains omega-3 from fish oil, plant extracts such as fermented red rice, a source of monacolin K (3mg/cps), policosanols, Citrus bioflavonoids and some B vitamins to act more efficiently on blood cholesterol levels.

The recommended dose of Cardiol is one pearl to be taken in the evening just before dinner, for a period of at least 2 months, in conjunction with a balanced diet. After two months of supplementation, it is best to repeat the analysis to check the effectiveness of the treatment. In case of higher values of total cholesterol (greater than 240 mg/dL), thus more severe hypercholesterolemia, it is advisable to opt for the product Cardiol Forte, which has a higher dosage of monacolin K (10 mg/cps) the natural statin useful for maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels. Again, the recommended dose is 1 pearl per day, to be taken in the evening for a period of two months, after which routine tests should be repeated. As for HDL cholesterol, desirable values are between 50 and 59 mg/dL, or even better above 60 mg/dL for the protective anti-atherosclerotic role these lipoproteins play. If, as you write, your HDL values are above normal, this is an entirely positive condition.

I remain available for further information and recommend that you consult with your primary care physician about the possibility of taking Cardiol or Cardiol Forte to act on your cholesterol levels especially if you are following drug therapies.

Sincerely,

Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
