I am a 45-year-old athlete, how many pearls of Vitality should I take per day?

Hi. I am interested in Omegor Vitality in pearls. I am a 45-year-old highly trained athlete and would like to supplement Omega 3. I saw that there are two versions in the online shop: 60 of 500 mg and 30 of 1000 mg. I would first like to know how many pearls should I take per day considering that in between I train almost every day. And in addition which format do you recommend? Regards.

Dear Michael,

nutritional supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids is very useful in the case of physical activity: it makes red blood cells more flexible and more easily deformable, allowing them to reach the farthest districts of the body even under conditions of lactic acid accumulation (as in the case of intense physical exertion). Specifically:

  • They promote oxygenation of all tissues;
  • Improve recovery from states of physical fatigue;
  • Inhibit the formation of free radicals;
  • They improve physical endurance.

Omega-3 fatty acids have also shown a protective effect in exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. The 2:1 ratio of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA found in Omegor Vitality 1000 allows you to minimize inflammation in muscles and joints. Since the intensity of your training is very high, I recommend that you start supplementation with 2 pearls per day of Omegor Vitality 1000 (30-pack of pearls) for 1-2 weeks. You can then increase your Omega-3 intake with 3 pearls per day or combine with another supplement, such as Omegor Antiage. The formulation of Omegor Antiageismade up as follows:

  • Omega-3 fatty acids;
  • Omega-6 fatty acid GLA from borage oil;
  • various antioxidants, such as resveratrol, curcumin, alpha-lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, tocotrienols, sesamin, and piperine.
I recommend that you take the pearls before a main meal. Depending on your needs you can take them in one or several solutions without any problem.

Continue supplementation for at least 6 weeks, after which time you can perform a blood test to assess the percentage of Omega-3 at the level of cell membranes. Based on the result you will be able to modulate the daily dose of fatty acids best suited to you.

Best regards.
