Ask the Pharmacist

Acne, which omega-3 supplement is best?

Dear Pasquale,

omega-3s are definitely effective in acne. Against acne it is useful to supplement the diet with two complementary products such as. Omegor TwinEFA e Omegor Antiage

Omegor TwinEFA is a dietary supplement containing fish oil, rich in omega-3 EPA and DHA, and borage oil, rich in omega-6 GLA:

  • the association between these two classes of fatty acids has a significant anti-inflammatory effect
  • and can be helpful in reducing discoloration and inflammatory skin lesions typical of acne.

With Omegor TwinEFA, I recommend the concomitant use of the product Omegor Antiage: this will add an additional anti-inflammatory component, but most importantly it will have an effective antioxidant action.

The recommended dose is 2 capsules of Omegor TwinEFA and 1 capsule of Omegor Antiage per day, taken near a meal for a period of 2 months.

It is a good idea to undertake such intake in accordance with the advice of your specialist, who will be able to appreciate the improvements in your acne and based on these will be able to direct you how to prolong or modify the way you take the products.

I remain available for further information,

Sincerely,

Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
